Another season...

Both the boys played another season of soccer.  Micah moved up in age brackets, now play in the under 11 group.  It was a lot more challenging and so much fun to watch!  He has been really practicing his footwork and it paid off.  He was the high scorer for his team and was in charge of taking all corner and penalty shots.  It has been fun to see him excel and grow over the last few years.  He's a great forward!

Asher's team was undefeated and blew out all their opponents.  He has surprised me. He's so fast, he steals the ball and dribbles down the field, and takes great shots.  It's so different from his first year when he would just stand on the field.  It's cute to see his reaction after he scores.  He had an awesome coach again this year (Dudi), and I'll miss watching all my guys on the soccer field!

Poor little guy

This is what my little boy has looked like for the last week. Actually, this is the best he has looked all week!

 This pic was taken on Thursday,  the 5th day of fever, when he finally got out of bed and moved around a little.  He missed a week of school and has been really, really sick.

Even though he started feeling better today, he's not back to normal.  We are hoping to have our spunky and  active little guy back soon.

There's only one problem now,  my throat is starting to really hurt and I'm not feeling so great!

Camping with grandma

I'm trying to do a pack log of post from the last few months.  We were visiting my parents at the end of 2010 and did a backyard campout.  Actually, I should admit that grandma was the only adult that slept out in the tent with 5 grandkids.  They had tons of fun!

I did stick around long enough for s'mores though!

Well, we survived another year of the Fun Run.

This was Asher's first year and he did so good! He ran the whole mile and finished in great time!  He really enjoyed it and even asked me to run with him next year.  I should probably start training now so I can keep up with him!  It was so much fun to see him out there running.

The following day was Micah's run.  It was exciting, yet heart wrenching to watch Micah get 5th place...for the 4th year in a row!  He was so bummed, but he had a great attitude (the top 4 get ribbons).  Something has to be done.  Really, getting 5th all 4 years!!!! I think he did so awesome, but the poor kid is so set on getting one of those ribbons.  He was disappointed at first, but then he looked at me and said, "There's always next year."

Happy Everything!

I am alive.

We enjoyed a great holiday season.

We spent Thanksgiving in Tennessee with my family and then enjoyed all the festivities of December and Christmas at home.
 I loved having the kids out of school for a few weeks, but over their break we had 4 cases of strep and all the kids also had fevers that lasted about a week!  They were feeling better just in time to go back to school!
Hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things and get caught up on all that we've been up to.
Sorry I didn't get my christmas cards out, I've had them since NOVEMBER!!!!
So, So sad.
 Actually, I was saving them this year for New Year's cards Valentine's cards!

Boo at the zoo

This year we took the kids to "boo at the zoo" which is were the kids get to trick or treat at the zoo.

 A lot of the animals that usually aren't out during the day, were out at night.

They had a lot of reptiles and insect displays where you could and touch the animals.

We had a GREAT night and can't wait to do it again next year. 

I think this will become a yearly event for us.

Pumpkin guts

After our trip to the pumpkin patch we got busy carving our pumpkins.

 Micah decided to stick his face in the pumpkin "guts" he had scooped out of his pumpkin.  

 This year for Asher and Olivia we tried the potato head pumpkins.  

They were a big hit and turned out really cute.
