Halloween 2011

Yes, it's February, but my life is just beginning to settle down!

The boys were easy this year.  They were their favorite soccer players.  Asher was Lionel Messi and Micah was Cristiano Ronaldo.  Two rival teams, go figure.

Before our ward trunk or treat.  Dudi was also a soccer player and Jude was a ref, complete with a whistle pacifier.  Olivia, of course, was a princess.  Belle.

                                                                 Costume Change.
Asher decided for trick or treat he wanted to be Jack Sparrow.  Everyone else was the same thing that they were for trunk or treat and I figured I got off easy only making a Belle dress and Jack Sparrow costume.  I thought he looked so cute!  And no, he hasn't seen pirates of the Caribbean.  He only know about it from the lego video game and legos!

we had a great time trick or treating with some friends and the kids, naturally, got way to much candy!

Boo at the zoo

This year we took the kids to "boo at the zoo" which is were the kids get to trick or treat at the zoo.
A lot of the animals that usually aren't out during the day, were out at night.
They had a lot of reptiles and insect displays where you could and touch the animals.

 "Petting" one of the snakes.

 Harry trick-or-treating
The zoo had fun displays set up throughout.

 Our animal masks.

Olivia has been pretending to be a cat since we got the animal masks.

We had a GREAT night and can't wait to do it again next year.
I think this will become a yearly event for us.

Costume party

The boys decided they wanted to have some friends over for a halloween party the weekend before Halloween.  We got a group of their friends, some food, and had some fun!

Liv was the only girl in attendance.  Her
Rapunzel costume wasn't finished so she made a cute ballerina.

 Micah the mummy.
One of the games was a mummy wrap relay.

 The scavenger hunt.

 Let's eat.

What a scary lookin' bunch!

Two cute Indy's

We had our ward trunk-or-treat last night.  We recently had our stake boundaries relined (I'm not bitter) so I was left with one person on my committee.  I was a little worried, but it turned out great!  One of the best we've had, but I'm not partial.

The kids looked so cute and we had a great night.
*More of our October festivities to come!

Spookiest time of the year

You're pretty scared, right?!

Ash has been wearing these teeth for about a week.
Needless to say, he leaves a trail of droop wherever he goes.

Halloween 2009

Olivia's "happy" pumpkin.
The kids and their creations. Asher's pumpkin was the hardest pumpkin ever! We actually broke one of the carving knives while carving/hacking it. Micah carved his all by himself. They did a good job and had lots of fun!

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Clone wars Anakin

Olivia insisted that Dudi be Peter Pan. Of course he couldn't resist her! I was Wendy for the ward trunk-or-treat, but not for trick-or-treat.

Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. Olivia called everyone by their costume names the entire time. She totally kept character.

It was a fun Halloween and the rain held off!

A visit to the pumpkin patch

One of our favorite family traditions is picking out our pumpkins at a pumpkin patch each Halloween season. I love seeing all the orange.
And the fine art of pumpkin picking is always an exciting adventure to behold!

We got to put our pumpkins in these little wagons and tote them all around. The kids thought that it was great.

Ahh, the Mums.

Micah picked a perfectly round pumpkin (in the wagon).
Asher picked a kinda tall and lopsided one.
Liv picked a pumpkin with little bubbly "warts" all over it.
Dudi also picked out a tall one, and we got three little baby ones.

It was the perfect night. Not too hot, not too cold...it was just right.

Tonight's agenda includes a family viewing of "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and making Halloween cookies!

Halloween tees and tutus

I love Fall.

Halloween is Dudi's favorite holiday. This year the kids wanted me to make Halloween shirts for them. So I grabbed some old shirts, cut out the shapes, and ironed and sewed them on.

Really fancy, let me tell ya.

Asher wanted a mummy (didn't turn out too well, but he loves it therefore it is a success), Liv got spiders, and Micah wanted a skull (to be shown at a later date).

Livy adores Asher. He's using this to his advantage, too. His new thing is to tell Liv, "If you don't do such-and-such I won't be your best friend." To which Livy replies, "Please let me be your best friend, Ashur."

Okay, these little Target tights that Olivia has on are my favorite! They make everything look so festive and cute! Love them!
Just a cute picture of my little Asher.
Tutu's have a magical power. They make you dance.
