Recovery

This past weekend was busy...very busy. Dudi took the boys on the ward father/son campout, and I took Liv with me on the YW precamp. I hiked 6+ miles with the girls yesterday morning, and by the time we got home, everyone was pooped! It was fun, but my body is still worn out! I didn't have my camera with me to capture those "special" moments, so instead I thought I would post some of my fav. pics of the kids I took earlier this week. Enjoy!

Memorial Day

Like always, I'm a little late on my post. We had a lot of fun on Memorial Day though and wanted to make sure and blog about it (this also acts like our family journal).

Some Major League fun

Some friends gave us tickets to an Atlanta Braves game, so yesterday we loaded the kids up and headed on a little trip. We were unsure how the weather would hold up, and of course it did rain. Our seats were high enough up that we had a cover. The temperature was perfect, and the rain didn't bother us either!
Livy was kinda enthralled by the whole thing. Her favorite part was the music that they would play. She even got into doing the "tomahawk chop!"
Micah said it was the best night of his life. They were so funny to watch. Dancing, and cheering, Micah really loved it!
I have to admit that Asher was a little disappointed with the whole thing. It turns out he thought HE was gonna be doing the baseball playing. He was still a good sport. Thankfully, other than our friends, the seats around us were pretty bare- he kept himself entertained.
It was a fun family day out, we can't wait to do it again. Of course, as the saying goes, "All good things must come to and end."
This morning we woke up, got in the car to head to church, and immediately realized that our tire was flat.

Like the, you ran over something and have to buy a new tire but somehow you made it home flat.

The game was awesome though!

Mother's Day weekend

What a great weekend!
It started on Friday. Sis. Beck (general RS pres.) and Sis. Cook (general YW counselor) came to our stake and spoke with us ! The YW/RS presidency's had a special meeting with them before the general meeting-so awesome! They are such incredible women and the whole evening was amazing. What an incredible experience it was.
Saturday we went to pick strawberries, but due to the enormous amounts of rain, the berries were yuck and we have to wait to pick them. Instead we went to the downtown market and left with a delicious watermelon.
That night Dudi and I got to go out-always nice! Then we came home to watch a movie and both fell asleep. I must admit I was out before the movie started.
Rounding up the weekend with this morning. I wake up to little voice downstairs and Dudi telling me to stay in bed.
Consider that done!
About 8 am I woke up again to a lovely stuffed french toast, eggs, and fresh pineapple breakfast. The boys were so proud, and it was really good! I'm so lucky to be a mom to my sweet little kids!

I am so thankful for all the moms who do so much for their families and inspire me. Especially my own mom and my mother-in-law, my grandma's, sister, and sister-in-laws. They have gone above and beyond for their families and those around them. Each of them have contributed and added something wonderful to my life. Happy Mother's Day!

Cinco de Mayo celebration recap

Our humble attempt at a Cinco de Mayo celebration consisted of making sombreros (the cups were too big, the plates too small, I know), eating mexican food, and trying to guess spanish words Micah would throw out at us. The kids really loved making their sombreros. They look a little more like party hats, but you get the idea. Micah spent at least an hour decorating his (above). It turned out so cute.

Livy just thought it was great that I gave her crayons and something other than paper that she was actually allowed to draw on.

Asher was just excited to have a party. Sweet little guy.

Soccer wrap-up

We just finished another busy season of soccer. It was Asher's first year playing. He started the season so well! He scored a few goals and seemed to really enjoy it. Then about 1/2 way through the season, he refused to go on the field-maybe it was the jersey color :) (he wasn't thrilled with the purple panthers uniform). If we could persuade him to go out, then he would just stand there while everyone else ran around.

It was kind of painful. I don't know what changed, but I'm relieved the season for him is over. Maybe we will wait a little while longer to put him in anything else. He sure was cute when he did play though!

Micah has gotten so good at soccer. This year he was on the under 9 team-the Storm- and they played full field. His games were really fun to watch and he plays his position so well!
