Ode to my handyman

What words come to mind when thinking of Dudi? Maybe handsome(definitely handsome), Smart, Funny, talented? Do you think of his awesome carpentry skills? NO? Well, think again.

Dudi has spent MANY hours doing projects I've come up with for our house. I like to think of it as helping him develop his talents.

He built this awesome storage area for our laundry room. Complete with chair rail and hooks to hang the kids stuff(above and to the right). Below is the kitchen backsplash we tiled. I usually come up with the design and Dudi builds it. In this case, I did the tiling, but he did cut the tile(thanks for the wetsaw Marshmans).

Dudi just finished building his new desk and putting up crown molding in our family room (sorry, I'm still trying to figure out how to upload the pictures in a better way).

Bookshelf(below)

Liv's room(chair rail and below, yes, it is fabric). We had fun doing this one.

Boy's room toy storage

Oh, I forgot to take pics of the kitchen table, I'll post those when our new projects are done(I'm upholstering a chair, Dudi's making a sofa table). In case you are wondering, we haven't made everything in our house(yet).

Two words-Love him.

Okay, so when I was at your house today I perhaps might have snooped around upstairs (I never found your room, so you don't have to worry about that) but WHOLLY Cow that man is totally talented. I had no idea he built all of that! It just looks built in. Its awesome!

I always knew you had it in you, Mr. B. You must have picked up your talent for using saws from your Dad! I REALLY like the way you built your bookcase all around that window upstairs. Perhaps you missed your calling in life; you should have taken 'shop' in high school rather than 'home ec.' {yes, Davin really did take home ec...he liked the cooking.} :)
Seriously, EVERYTHING you made looks better than even what IKEA sells! You did WELL. And it sounds like you're not done yet. "Keep it up Chuck". (Only Davin will get this last sentence..but that's ok.) xoxo mom

Makes me so proud I could just cry! Or is that sawdust in my eyes? Seriously, good work.

(We just got your Christmas card, and came to your website--awesome!) But I am dying to know--I love the maps on the wall in the boys' room. Are they just random maps, or is it wallpaper? And if they are just random maps, how do you keep the boys from ripping them off the wall (accidentally, I'm sure!)?
