Head Trauma

This afternoon while I was making dinner, I heard a scream. Yes, that kind of scream-an injury scream. Micah came running in yelling, "his head, his head." My worst fears were realized. With one look I knew we had a skull fracture on our hands.

I glanced at Dudi, who was already on the verge of tears, and knew I needed to be the calm one. I began to ask the regular questions- "Who did it," & "How did it happen?"

The answers: Olivia and her shoe. Yes, a shoe. Not even a boot. She just wacked him in the head and that was that.

I wasn't sure a full recovery was possible. Things are still a little touch and go, but after stitches (we opted for the glue kind), our patient is recovering as well as can be expected.

CAUTION: These pictures contain disturbing content and may not be suitable for young children.

Seriously. Bruno was Dudi's when he was little and although we have other, shall we say, cleaner dolls, this is the favorite. Asher adores him. I didn't even know it was possible to break a Cabbage Patch Kids head. Who knew?

Mary, that was seriously hilarious! I was prepared for the worst and when I saw the doll I just started laughing and laughing! Great blog.

So, so fantastically written, Mary. You are a hoot!

And uh, when I read the title you TOTALLY got me. I thought, "Oh, no...who is it...who had to get stitches."

I must confess that I scrolled down before reading the whole post and howled with laughter! Then, when I read it I laughted even harder becasue it was so superbly written. My favorite line was, "Things are still a little touch and go". So funny!

Dudi, I am sorry about Bruno. It is always hardest to see a childhood friend suffer.

I just read this to Evan and he loved it. I made him wait to scroll down and he cracked up.

I am going to ask you at presidency meeting how you get your pictures to be colored and black and white at the same time. It looks so fabulous. I love the one of Olivia's heart shirt, too.

Sorry to hear about Davins doll, I remember it well. I am glad it has been fixed! Mary, how do you get your blogger links to show when they were last updated? I could not figure it out.

Oh, you cute kids! I'm so glad you took the time to fix poor Bruno! You said Niki was practically in tears (:))...well, I'm entitled to shed a few too then! I have memories tied up with that little guy as well! Gosh, Livy must pack quite a punch! Nicki used to 'chuck' that poor doll across the room at either Taylor or Salli quite frequently, as I recall, when all 3 of them used to share a bedroom. :_)
